SUMMARY OF THE MAIN FUNCTIONS:

Setting and adjusting the time: Setting the official time of the rally on the clock is quick and easy. In time mode, press and hold the setup button and scroll through the options. There is the possibility of 12 and 24 hour clock and two different calendar formats.

Deselect modes: There are nine modes on the watch, some of which may not be needed in some competitions. There is the possibility of disabling functions so as not to waste time in the race jumping menus. In time mode, press and hold the mode button and the watch will open the mode menu. Now you must scroll through the different options and activate or deactivate.

To avoid errors, a mode cannot be disabled if it is currently running.

Night mode: In addition to the light button, which turns on the backlight for 10 seconds once the button is pressed, if the light button is pressed for two seconds the watch enters night mode and displays an icon of a lightbulb on screen.

In night mode, the backlight will turn on and stay on for 10 seconds once any button is pressed.

Alarm options: In the wake-up mode there is the option to configure the alarm to be audio, visual or both. The sound (beep) can be turned on or off as well as the visual (flashing light). According to this configuration, this is how the alarm will work during the countdown process in the pre-start of a leg. The alarm will be seen / heard when the timer is counting down to the leg start time.

Being able to deactivate the sound is useful since some pilots seek that the alarm beep is deactivated so as not to lose focus when taking the exit to the stage and the visual alarm serves so that the co-pilot knows that everything is configured and running.

PRE-DEPARTURE OPTIONS:

There are three options for starting the chronometer at the start line of a stage:

1. Start in next full minute: This is probably the easiest way to start the stopwatch. If the start / stop button is pressed at any point during the minute before the stage start time, the stopwatch will start in the next full minute.

For example, if the departure time is 11:23 a.m., pressing the start / stop button at any time during 11:22 a.m., the stopwatch will count the seconds remaining until 11:23 p.m. in the left area of the screen , and the stopwatch will start automatically at 11:23

2. Delay start: It is possible to enter a specific delay after which the stopwatch starts. It can be from 0 for an instant start, up to 59 minutes.

The most logical would be delays of 0, 10 or 30 seconds. The delay period can be preset in the watch's memory.

For example, if the delay is 10 seconds, when the clock on the starting line strikes 10 seconds the copilot must press the start / stop button and when the traffic light turns green the clock will start timing automatically.

3. Start time: The stopwatch can start at a specific time. Obviously, this takes a little more time and due to the short period of time available between the Start Time Control, where the provisional start time of the section is given, and the Start Zone, where the start time is confirmed.

Realistically, due to the timing format of a rally, there is only between 30 seconds and 1 minute to set the exact start time on the clock.

CHRONO TIME MODE:

This function allows you to record and store the time spent on the section and serves as a verification method for the time assigned by the race organization.

The Chrono Time mode shows both the stopwatch and the time on the display and also reflects the current pre-start option and the number of the next leg.

Sitting on the starting line, the start / stop button should be pressed at the appropriate time to start the stopwatch, which will start according to the pre-start setting configured in the watch's memory.

The stopwatch appears in the center of the screen and will count down to the start time of the stage and then start timing once it is time to start. The time always appears at the bottom.

If the departures to the leg are momentarily stopped or definitively canceled by pressing the start / stop button again before the original start time is reached, the countdown will be canceled and the procedure will be restarted.

When crossing the finish line you must press the start / stop button again. The time of the section appears on the central screen, which can then be corrected with the time recorded by the timekeepers on the route card. The actual time the finish line is crossed is frozen and flashing at the bottom of the screen.

Once the time has been verified, the split / reset button must be pressed. This will send the data to the memory of the watch and both the time of arrival flashing in the lower part and the time spent in the central part disappear. In this way, the official time of the rally appears in the center for the next link section.

If you don't remember to press the split / reset button after the stage, then the frozen time keeps flashing to remind you to defrost it, as it is easy to think that the finish time is the actual time of the rally at that moment.

The watch will store all the times of the stages and their respective arrival times.

RECOVERY FUNCTION:

The recovery function allows to see the times of the stages in the memory of the watch and to see the accumulated time of the event and allows to have a backup copy of the timing data of the event, and you can consult: the number of the section, the time the finish line was crossed, the time of the stage and the accumulated time after each stage.

To keep an exhaustive control of the accumulated time, the time recorded in each section on the clock must be identical to the one set by the organizer on the route card. That said, it is possible to adjust the time of each leg to match 100% with that of the organization.

Penalties can also be added to the total time using the Stage 0 function.

TIMER:

There are six timers that can be linked to each other and count up or down. Therefore, you can use a timer to count down the time allowed between one Time Control and the next or to keep an eye on how much time is left to Regroup.

One timer can be linked to another. For example, if when you enter a 30-minute Assistance Zone you start a timer linked to another, when the 30 minutes have elapsed the next timer starts.

Each unlinked timer can be preconfigured to start in any way you choose: start in the next full minute, delay start, or instant start.

CALCULATION FUNCTION:

Using the formula Speed = Distance / Time, introducing two variables, the watch calculates and stores the third.

This function is very useful for calculating the average speed of a link section. For example, if the time allowed between controls is 35 minutes and it takes 5 minutes to prepare (helmet and belts), entering the clock 30 minutes you know what is the average speed required to be at the beginning of the section with 5 minutes of advance.
